[Note: I made it out to five gifting suites, or lounges, that celebrated this year’s Emmys. As usual, each gets its own write-up because I don’t want you to miss even one tidbit.  This is the first of five, so please make sure to read the next four, as well, to learn about all the fabulous-ness.]

For the fourth year in row, Doris Bergman threw her pre-Emmys event in West Hollywood’s famous eatery, Fig & Olive, so, of course, the guests got to eat in style. All day! From the beginning, their signature flatbreads were passed to celebs and sponsors alike. That was followed by a full luncheon buffet of Moroccan chicken with hearty vegetables, cous cous, house salad (which was chockfull of figs and olives, of course!,) and a new shrimp and pasta dish, that was generously doused with truffle oil.

As usual, before I took even one bite, or greeted one sponsor, I stopped by the table of the suite’s charity, Wednesday’s Child, to leave multiple gifts for young adults in the LA County foster care system. (The reason I bring multiple goodies is to make-up for the guests who are less charitably-inclined, even though Doris always makes it quite clear in her invitations that we are asked to do so. How anyone could not participate in such a lovely gift drive, while gathering new ones, is beyond me.) I’m always grateful for the opportunity to give back. www.foxla.com/wednesdays-child

Now, on to the highlights of the gifts!:

The FootMate System—As a girl who already owns one of the tootsie-savers, I was happy to see them at the suite, so others in Hollywood can get similarly-pampered. It’s a rubber mat that suctions to the shower floor, and features a set of special brushes upon which you easily scrub your feet. I walk barefoot all the time, unless I’m out in public, so it really comes in handy. Often, before I put my shoes on, I just wet it, and then step into the non-running shower to use the brushes for a quick fix. www.gordonbrush.com

Dioo Audio—This headphone company launched right at the suite! And I was hpappy to discover, that, finally, there are earbuds specifically for the ladies! The female guests were clamoring for the mouth-watering pastel pink cords. The sound on them is as fabulous as the exterior, too. But the sound on their over-the-ears headphones is even better! I’ll have to get a pair of those for the krump-dancing Mr. X, who’ll be happy to use them to listen to me even less. www.diooaudio.com

My Saint, My Hero—Boy, do I need one of their “blessing bracelets” right now! Actually, I could have used every one on their table. But I’m trying to hang in there, and have faith that even that single blessing will work. www.mysaintmyhero.com

Single Dress and Single Underwear for Men—This display of colorful dresses and tops, which run from casual to elegant, gathered the ladies to it, as usual. Each item is more attractive than the one before it. This time, they were also gifting men’s underwear, and lovely scarves, which always come in handy as Autumn approaches.  www.singledress.com

Real Estate Rules—Northern California realtor, Debbi DiMaggio, was gifting her new book Real Estate Rules. There’s one rule for each week of the year, so you don’t need to digest it all once. Clever.  www.debbidimaggio.com

Twisted Silver—I think you all know by now what a fan of jewelry designer Debra Mitchell I am. What’s amazing about her is that every time I see her, she has a massive new collection! Her pieces are never the same, even down to the materials she uses! She lets the guests choose his or her own gift at the suite, but I don’t know how they were able to decide. www.twisted-silver.com

Skintech Studios—This Beverly Hills skin care office was offering their Venus Legacy eye lift treatements right on-site (for anyone who wanted to look extra-good for the rest of Emmys week.) The guest could also do it at the office instead, at a later date, if having a treatment in public was not their thing. www.skintechstudios.us

Fibrum Virtual Reality Headsets—This wireless virtual reality headset wowed everybody. And, while it’s also compatible with headphones and gamepads, it’s designed to be used with just a smartphone screen! Now agoraphobes have even more reason to never leave the house—if they can have this much fun from their own homes, I get it. www.fibrum.com

Art Lewin Bespoke—Always one of the most pleasant and popular sponsors at Doris’ events, men’s clothier Art Lewin gifts something different each go-round. This time, it was beautiful and elegant men’s ties, which many of the male guests there can really use–trust me! www.artlewinbespoke.com

Pretty Places—These candles are very unfussy and clean-looking. Their labels feature an outline of California, with the name of a famous city in the state. I think that all the guest chose Beverly Hills, don’t you? www.shopprettyplaces.com

Ein Drink—I’m neither an app person nor an imbiber, so I can’t tell you about this one in-depth, but I’m sure the more social, and technology-oriented, among us will enjoy it. It’s a new app that basically lets you and your pals know where the party is! And what millennial doesn’t want that?! www.eindrink.com

Personal Touch Lingerie—They were gifting control undergarments and sexy underwear. I have a feeling you can’t wear both at once, though, so you have to choose your weapon each day. www.personaltouchlingerie.com

Spongelle—I always enjoy seeing the colorful display of sponges that are infused with body wash for multiple uses. And they gift a different shape each time! www.spongelle.com

Andrea Gutierrez Jewelry—This new jeweler to the suites game was gifting a sweet little silver arrow that you can either wear around your neck or just carry in your wallet. www.andreagutierrezjewelry.com

There are always several real celebrities enjoying Doris’ event along with the rest of the VIPs, and this time I was happy to spot Glee’s Jane Lynch and the adorable Jason Ritter, whom I’ve (sort-of) known forever. He always puts a big smile on my face. I needed that bit of mirth because I heard that I missed a few Dancing With the Stars peeps, which you know made me feel a bit bad.

All in all, this was yet another very wonderful and satisfying event by the incredible Doris Bergman! Now I can’t wait for her always-fabulous Oscars event!
