MELROSE PR SUMMER SOIRÉE

Business “Summer Soirees” have become very popular around LA in recent years; they’re basically fun PR parties to introduce goods and companies to the top social “influencers.” I’m always honored to be considered one of them!

And, since Melrose PR is one of my favorite groups, I was extra happy to attend their fete. It was held at their Santa Monica offices, which were adorned for the occasion with giant beach balls and children’s pools. And the entire all-girl staff was dressed in white, which was adorable!

There was a beverage bar in one office, and a healthful sandwich-and-salad bar, provided by Locali Yours, in another.

In a third area was a display of products from Melrose’s many clients, all ready to be raffled off. I had my eyes on an orange luggage set and a multi-compartment frying pan, (yes, I do mean that latter one–even though I rarely cook, I love to have handy-dandy gadgets in my kitchen,) but, alas, I didn’t win anything, (which Mr. X is probably relieved about, especially the cooking tool; he’s always afraid I’ll burn the house down!)

There was also a cute room devoted to Melrose PR’s head honcho’s own very popular company, Pursecase. (I’m proud to say that I’m one of the people who pushed her into bringing them to the masses. You’re welcome, hip chicks everywhere!) I’m seeing these adorable cell phone cases, (that double as mini purses,) all over town, and I loved viewing their new designs at this event.

The most fun action at the soiree was being introduced to soap-and-lotion company, Saavy Naturals. Their table had a beautiful display, and featured a “soap tower” from which they carved bars right in front of us! We received not only those instant creations, (which were some of the very few items I’ve ever brought home that Mr. X enjoyed!,) but also a gift bag of several of their other products!

This was an easy, early event with food and gifts; now, that’s the way to throw a summer soiree.
